A Brief Review of 1997.
"There's plenty of room for everyone in the world, enough money, riches, and beauty for all to share. Let us all begin then by sharing it fairly." ---- Anne Frank
Luke 9:46-50: Then a dispute arose among them as to which of them would be greatest. And Jesus, perceiving the thought of their heart, took a little child and set him by Him, and said to them, "Whoever receives this little child in My name receives Me; and whoever receives Me receives Him who sent Me. For he who is least among you all will be great." Now John answered and said, "Master, we saw someone casting out demons in Your name, and we forbade him because he does not follow with us." But Jesus said to him, "Do not forbid him, for he who is not against us is on our side." (NKJ)
We've come a long way since last Christmas. By now, you should have a much better appreciation of meaning of the symbolisms used in our Christmas carols such as "peace on earth", "Let earth receive her King", etc. Also by now you should also be able to recognize for yourself when people are speaking "with the voice of God" or the "with voice of Satan" in much the same way Jesus and his disciples did.
Those of you who have taken the time to read the articles on this web site can see that it provides a relatively simple explanation for WHY Jesus taught what he taught and did what he did. Jesus' entire ministry was based on God's two most fundamental commandments, because he recognized that the authors of the Hebrew scriptures (at least those which were available to him at that time) deliberately compiled and/or crafted those documents to support THREE levels of interpretation.
The "third heaven" level is an evolving series of allegorical lessons (or parables) illustrating the nature of the Kingdom of God and importance of His two most fundamental commandments (i.e. to seek the truth relative to the commandment to love our neighbors as ourselves, Matthew 22:37-40). As I have been showing, the symbolisms used in these allegorical stories or parables began in Genesis 1 and were later supplemented by subsequent authors (including Jesus). During the next year or so, you will see that when these symbolisms are interpreted correctly, based on those two commandments, they work consistently from Genesis through Revelation!
The "second heaven" level of interpretation is for the most part a "literal" interpretation of the scriptures based on God's two most fundamental commandments. When viewed this way, some Biblical "heroes" like Joshua end up looking like "Hebrew Hitlers"; and as I point out last month, that's precisely the way the authors/editors of the book of Joshua ultimately wanted Joshua (and the Levites) to be viewed. Their main point is that there are very important LESSONS to be learned from those historical experiences.
The "first heaven" level of interpretation is the level that most people are familiar with these days, namely the highly selective "literal" interpretations that are designed to make the Satanically inspired concept of "national sovereignty" appear to be more "holy" than God Himself. According to this level of interpretation, Joshua APPEARS to be a "great hero"; one to be revered. Unlike the second-heaven level of interpretation which uses ALL of the scriptures to make its points (including the "dirty laundry" issues), religious leaders who teach first-heaven levels of interpretation tend skip over those dirty laundry issues, because they don't fit their ideology.
I believe you will agree, that the articles on this web site have helped you learn a LOT about the "real Jesus" that you didn't not already know. In 1998, (while the world anxiously waits for our religious leaders to start taking God's two most fundamental commandments SERIOUSLY), we'll address (among other things) what Jesus and the authors of the New Testament were REALLY talking about when they referred to such topics as "forgiveness of sins", "everlasting life", etc. We'll also proceed through the Old Testament to examine how badly most of the presently popular interpretations of St. John's Book of Revelation completely miss the point!
I've changed the last page on www.onesalt.com to include links to other web sites that provide informative articles, views, and information which (for the most part) conform to God's two most fundamental commandments.
one grain of salt
(whose only "credentials" are God's two most fundamental commandments)
